Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My mom was recovering from a stroke and needed post-acute care. Montecito was a lifesaver. The staff was so patient and caring, and the therapy program really helped her regain her strength. I would definitely recommend this facility.

I was impressed with the cleanliness and professionalism of Montecito. The nurses and aides were always attentive and responsive to my needs. The food was also surprisingly good. I felt like I was in good hands during my stay.

While the staff was friendly, I found that the communication between departments could be improved. There were a few instances where I felt like my requests were not being addressed promptly.
