Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother has been a resident at St. Gertrude's for a few months now, and we've been very impressed with the care she's received. The staff is kind and attentive, and the facility is clean and comfortable. They have a lot of activities for the residents, which helps keep them engaged and social.

I highly recommend St. Gertrude's to anyone looking for a skilled nursing facility. The staff is incredibly caring and compassionate, and they go above and beyond to make sure their residents are happy and well-cared for. The food is also surprisingly good!

The facility itself is nice, but I wish they had more options for activities. My mother doesn't really enjoy the ones they offer, and sometimes she gets bored. Otherwise, the staff is great and the care is good.
