Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother has been living at Elizabeth City Health and Rehabilitation for a few months now, and we've been very happy with the care she has received. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they always go the extra mile to make sure she is comfortable. The facility is clean and well-maintained, and there are plenty of activities to keep her engaged. We would definitely recommend this facility to others.

The facility itself is nice, but the care has been inconsistent. Some of the staff are great, but others seem to be rushed and uncaring. I've also had some issues with communication, but overall, it's been okay.
