Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother has been living at Birchwood for a few months now and we are so happy with the care she is receiving. The staff is attentive and caring, and the facility is clean and well-maintained. We highly recommend Birchwood to anyone looking for a loving and supportive environment for their loved one.

The physical therapy program at Birchwood helped my dad regain his strength and mobility after his surgery. The therapists were very knowledgeable and patient, and they made sure he felt comfortable and supported throughout his treatment. We are so grateful for their help.

Birchwood is a decent facility, but there are a few things that could be improved. The food is a bit bland, and the activities could be more engaging. Overall, it's a good place for those who need assisted living, but I'm not sure it's the best option for everyone.
