Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother was in the skilled nursing unit for rehab after her hip surgery. The staff was amazing, always kind and attentive. She made good progress and was able to return home. I'm so grateful for the care she received.

The facility itself is clean and well-maintained. The staff is generally helpful, but there have been times when communication could have been better. Overall, it's a decent option for skilled nursing care.

My aunt has been living at Wallingford for a few years now, and we are so happy with her care. The staff is incredibly dedicated, and she always seems happy and well-looked after. We highly recommend this facility.
