Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother has been at Homestead Nursing and Rehabilitation for a few months now, and we've been very happy with the care she's received. The staff is kind and attentive, and they always go the extra mile to make sure she's comfortable and well cared for. The facility itself is clean and well-maintained, and there are plenty of activities to keep residents engaged. I would definitely recommend Homestead Nursing and Rehabilitation to anyone looking for a skilled nursing facility for their loved one.

Homestead Nursing and Rehabilitation has been a mixed bag for us. The staff is generally good, but there have been some instances of inconsistent care. The food could be better, and the facility itself is a bit outdated. However, the location is convenient, and the overall care is decent. It's not the best facility we've seen, but it's not the worst either.
