Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother was a resident at Canterbury for a few months after a hip fracture. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, and the therapy program helped her regain her mobility. She really enjoyed the social activities and made some new friends. I would recommend Canterbury to anyone looking for a caring and supportive environment for their loved ones.

The facility itself was clean and comfortable, but I felt the communication between staff and family members could be improved. It was sometimes difficult to get updates on my mother's progress. However, the nurses were very helpful and responsive to our concerns.

We are so grateful for the care Canterbury provided for my grandfather. He was able to receive the skilled nursing and rehabilitation he needed to recover from his stroke. The therapists were amazing, and he made great progress. The staff truly felt like family.
