Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother has been living at San Joaquin for a few months now, and we're so happy with the care she's receiving. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they always go the extra mile to make sure she's comfortable and happy. The facility itself is clean and well-maintained, and the activities they offer are great for keeping her engaged.

I was really impressed with San Joaquin Nursing Center. The staff was so kind and helpful, and they really seemed to care about the residents. My father was there for a few weeks for rehab after his surgery, and he made a lot of progress. He even made some new friends there, which was nice.

The nursing staff at San Joaquin is great, but I've found the communication with the management to be a bit lacking. It can be hard to get in touch with someone about concerns, but overall, I think the care my mother is receiving is good.
