Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother stayed at Laurel Convalescent Hospital for a few months after her hip surgery. The staff was very kind and attentive, and they always went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable and well-cared for. The facility itself was clean and well-maintained, and my grandmother always felt safe and secure. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone looking for post-acute care.

Laurel Convalescent Hospital provided decent care for my father, but there were some issues with communication. It was sometimes difficult to get in touch with the staff, and I didn't always feel like they were completely informed about his progress. Overall, I'm satisfied with the care he received, but I would have preferred better communication.
