Costs

Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My mother has been living at West Valley Subacute and Nursing Center for a few months now, and we're very happy with the care she's received. The staff is very kind and attentive, and the facility is always clean and well-maintained. My mother has made great progress in her rehabilitation, and we're confident that she's in good hands.

The staff at West Valley is generally friendly, but communication can be a bit challenging at times. I wish there was more transparency regarding my father's care plan and progress. Overall, it's a decent facility, but I would prefer a more communicative and proactive approach.
