Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother was at Cedarwood for a few weeks after her hip surgery. The staff was so kind and attentive, and they really helped her get back on her feet. The facility was clean and comfortable, and the food was actually pretty good. I would definitely recommend Cedarwood to anyone looking for post-acute care.

The care at Cedarwood was good overall, but I did have some concerns about communication. Sometimes it was difficult to get information about my father's progress, and there were a few instances where things weren't handled as efficiently as I would have liked. But the staff was always friendly and helpful, and my father did make good progress during his time there.

Cedarwood was a lifesaver for me after my stroke. The therapists were amazing, and they worked with me tirelessly to help me regain my strength and mobility. I also really appreciated the social activities and outings they organized. It made my recovery so much more enjoyable.
