Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother has been at Wagner Heights for a few months now and we've been very happy with the care she's received. The staff is kind and attentive, and they always make sure she's comfortable and well cared for. The facility is clean and well-maintained, and the food is surprisingly good.

The facility itself is nice and clean, but the communication with the staff could be better. It can be difficult to get in touch with nurses or therapists when you need to. Otherwise, the care seems to be good, but it could be more proactive.

This was the best decision we could have made for our father. The staff is so caring and they truly treat him like family. He's been receiving excellent therapy and he's making great progress. We're so thankful for the positive impact Wagner Heights has had on our father's life.
