Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother has been living at Rio Grande for the past year, and we are so happy with the care she receives. The staff is attentive and compassionate, and they really go above and beyond to ensure her comfort and well-being. The facility is clean and well-maintained, and there are plenty of activities to keep residents engaged.

We were so impressed with Rio Grande during our tour. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the facility itself was beautiful. We felt confident that our loved one would be in good hands here.

The care at Rio Grande is good, but the communication could be better. Sometimes we have trouble getting in touch with the staff, and we feel like we are not always kept up-to-date on our loved one's progress.
