Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother has been living at Coal Creek for a few months now and we're very happy with the care she's receiving. The staff is always friendly and attentive, and the facility is clean and well-maintained. My grandmother enjoys the activities and the food is good too. It's a bit pricier than some other facilities in the area, but the level of care is worth it.

Coal Creek is a decent facility, but it's not perfect. The staff is generally helpful, but there have been a few instances of slow response times when my mother needed assistance. The activities seem to be geared towards older residents, so my mother, who is still fairly active, finds them a bit boring. Overall, it's a good option, but there are definitely better facilities out there.
