Costs

Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My father has been living at the Colorado State Veterans Nursing Home for the past year, and we couldn't be happier with the care he receives. The staff is incredibly compassionate and attentive to his needs. The facility is clean and well-maintained, and the activities keep him engaged and active. We highly recommend this nursing home to any veteran seeking a loving and supportive environment.

I was so grateful to find this nursing home for my grandfather, who is a veteran. The staff has gone above and beyond to make him feel comfortable and cared for. The food is excellent, and the activities provide him with opportunities to socialize and stay active. This nursing home is truly a blessing for veterans.

While the staff is generally friendly and helpful, I have noticed some inconsistencies in the level of care. Some days the residents seem well-attended to, while other days they appear neglected. The facility itself is clean but could benefit from some modernization. Overall, it's a decent nursing home, but not the best in the area.
