Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

I was hesitant about placing my father in a nursing home, but the Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of New Port Richey has exceeded my expectations. They've helped him regain his strength and mobility through their excellent rehabilitation program. The therapists are knowledgeable and compassionate, and they've made a real difference in his recovery.

The Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of New Port Richey is a decent facility, but there have been a few instances where communication could have been better. Overall, I'm satisfied with the care my mother has received, but I'd like to see more consistent communication between staff and family members.
