Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My dad has been at Nininger for a few months now, and we're really happy with the care he's receiving. The staff is so kind and attentive, and they really go the extra mile to make him feel comfortable. The facility is clean and well-maintained, and there are plenty of activities to keep him engaged. We highly recommend Nininger to any veteran looking for a caring and supportive environment.

Nininger has its ups and downs. Some of the staff are great, but others seem overworked and stressed. The food is decent, but I wish they had more options. Overall, it's a decent place for veterans, but it could definitely be better.

My grandpa was a WWII vet, and he spent his last years at Nininger. He loved it there. The staff treated him with respect and dignity, and they always made him feel like he was part of a family. We're so grateful for the care he received at Nininger.
