Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother has been at High Shoals for a few months now, and we've been very impressed with the care she's received. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they truly seem to care about the residents. The facility is clean and well-maintained, and there are plenty of activities for residents to participate in.

High Shoals has been a godsend for our family. My dad was recovering from a stroke, and they helped him regain his strength and independence. The therapists were amazing, and the staff was always so patient and supportive. We are so grateful for the care he received.

I think High Shoals is a good facility overall, but it's not perfect. The staff is generally friendly and helpful, but there have been a few times when I've felt like communication could have been better. The food is also a bit bland, but I understand that it's challenging to accommodate everyone's dietary needs.
