Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother has been living at Chestnut Ridge for several months now, and we're very happy with the care she's received. The staff is kind and attentive, and they've been very helpful in keeping her comfortable and engaged. The facility itself is clean and well-maintained, and we appreciate the range of activities and amenities they offer.

Chestnut Ridge is a decent facility, but there have been some communication issues with the staff. I've found it difficult to get updates on my father's progress at times. However, the nursing staff is generally caring and responsive.

I was initially hesitant about placing my mother in a nursing home, but Chestnut Ridge has exceeded my expectations. The staff is amazing, and they truly go above and beyond to make the residents feel loved and cared for. My mother is thriving here, and I'm so grateful for the positive environment they've created.
