Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

I was very impressed with University Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. The staff was professional and compassionate, and they really took the time to understand my mother's needs. The facility was bright and inviting, and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this center to anyone looking for quality care for a loved one.

University Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is a decent facility, but I have had some concerns about the communication between the staff and families. Sometimes it's difficult to get updates on my father's progress, and there have been a few occasions where I've had to advocate for his care. Overall, it's a good option, but there's room for improvement.
