Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother has been at Alden Valley Ridge for a few months now and we are very happy with the care she's received. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they always go the extra mile to make her comfortable. The facility is clean and well-maintained, and the food is actually pretty good!

I was hesitant about placing my father in a nursing home, but Alden Valley Ridge has exceeded my expectations. They have a wonderful team of nurses and therapists who have helped him regain his strength and mobility. He is now able to participate in activities and socialize with other residents, which is something we thought wouldn't be possible after his stroke.

The care at Alden Valley Ridge is decent, but there have been times when communication with the staff could be better. I've had to follow up on certain things myself, which can be frustrating. Overall, though, it's a decent facility with a good location.
