Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My mother has been living at The Citadel of Skokie for a few years now, and we are very happy with the care she receives. The staff is very kind and attentive, and they always go above and beyond to make sure she is comfortable and happy. The community itself is very clean and well-maintained, and there are always plenty of activities for residents to participate in. I would highly recommend The Citadel of Skokie to anyone looking for a senior living community for their loved one.

The Citadel of Skokie is a nice community, but it could be better. The staff is friendly and helpful, but the food could be better. The activities are also a little limited. Overall, it's a decent community, but I think there are better options out there.
