Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother has been a resident at Life Care Center of Kansas City for a few months now, and we've been very happy with the care she's received. The staff is kind and attentive, and the facility is clean and well-maintained. They've done a great job helping my grandmother adjust to her new environment.

The staff at Life Care Center of Kansas City is friendly and responsive, but I've noticed some inconsistencies in the quality of care. There have been times when my mother hasn't received the help she needs promptly, and I've had to advocate for her on several occasions. Overall, it's a decent facility, but I think there's room for improvement.
