Costs

Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother has been at Carter for a few months now, and we're very happy with the care she's received. The staff is kind and attentive, and they keep us informed about her progress. The facility is clean and well-maintained, and the food is decent.

This is a wonderful place for my dad. He has been here for a while and they have taken great care of him. The staff is kind and compassionate. I always feel comfortable leaving him in their care.

I'm not sure if the staff are understaffed or if it's just a matter of bad luck, but the care has been inconsistent. Sometimes the staff is very attentive and helpful, but there are also times when I've had to wait a long time for assistance.
