Costs

Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother has been at St. Bernard for a few months now, and we're really happy with the care she's received. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the facility is always clean and well-maintained. The activities program is great, and my grandmother enjoys participating in the social events and outings. We would definitely recommend St. Bernard to others.

The nursing staff is good, but I wish they'd communicate better with the family. There have been a few times when I've had to call to get information about my mother's care. Overall, it's a decent facility, but there's room for improvement.
