Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

The staff at Legacy Nursing and Rehabilitation of Tallulah are incredibly caring and attentive. My grandmother has received excellent care here, and the facility itself is clean and well-maintained. The only downside is the limited availability of activities for residents with cognitive impairments.

Legacy is a decent nursing home, but the food could be better. There are some good activities, but I've heard complaints about the communication between staff and families.

I can't say enough good things about Legacy! The nurses and aides are so kind and patient, and the facility is so well-run. They truly go above and beyond to make residents comfortable and happy.
