Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother has been living at the Center for Extended Care at Amherst for a few months now, and we couldn't be happier with the care she's receiving. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, and the facility itself is clean and well-maintained. We highly recommend it.

I was so impressed by the level of care at the Center for Extended Care at Amherst. My mother has been feeling much better since she moved in. They have a great team of nurses and caregivers who really make her feel at home.

The Center for Extended Care at Amherst provides good care overall. It's a bit pricey, but the staff is friendly and the amenities are nice. The only thing I'd suggest is that they could improve their communication with families.
