Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My mother has been at Point Lookout Nursing & Rehab for a few months now, and I've been very pleased with the care she's received. The staff is kind and attentive, and they go the extra mile to make sure my mother is comfortable and happy. The facility is clean and well-maintained, and there are plenty of activities to keep residents engaged.

Point Lookout Nursing & Rehab is a decent facility, but it could use some improvements. The staff is generally friendly, but there have been a few instances where I've felt like they weren't paying enough attention to my father's needs. The food is pretty average, and I wish there were more options for residents to choose from.
