Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother has been living at Chestnut for a few months now, and we've been very pleased with the care she's received. The staff is attentive and caring, and the facility is clean and well-maintained. I would definitely recommend Chestnut to anyone looking for a quality rehab and nursing facility.

Chestnut has been a lifesaver for our family. After my father had surgery, he needed extensive rehabilitation, and Chestnut provided the perfect environment for him to recover. The therapists were amazing, and the staff always went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable and well-cared for.

The care at Chestnut is good, but I've noticed some inconsistencies in the staff's attention to detail. Some staff members are more attentive than others, which can be frustrating. Overall, it's a decent facility, but I think it could be improved in some areas.
