Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother stayed at Alameda Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare for a few weeks after her hip surgery. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, and they really helped her get back on her feet. The facilities were clean and comfortable, and the food was surprisingly good. I would definitely recommend this center to anyone needing short-term rehabilitation.

I've been here for a few months now, and I've had both good and bad experiences. The nurses are great, but some of the aides aren't so friendly. The food is decent, but I wish there was more variety. Overall, it's a decent place, but I've heard better things about other facilities.
