Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

The staff at Schulman and Schachne were so kind and attentive. My mom received excellent care and was able to regain her strength after her surgery. The facility itself was clean and well-maintained. I highly recommend them.

The care was good overall, but I did have some concerns about the communication between staff and family. It would have been helpful to have more frequent updates. Otherwise, it was a positive experience.

My father was in the rehabilitation unit for a few months after his stroke. The therapists were amazing! He made significant progress and was able to return home. I'm so grateful for the care he received.
