Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother has been living at The Grand for a few months now and we're so happy with the care she's received. The staff is kind and attentive, and the facility is clean and well-maintained. They offer a variety of activities to keep residents engaged, and the food is pretty good too. It's a great place for seniors who need a little extra help.

The Grand is okay. It's definitely not the fanciest place, but the staff are good and the rooms are clean. My father has been here for a few years, and they have helped him maintain his independence as much as possible. However, the activities could be more engaging and there have been some communication issues at times.
