Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother has been living at Glen Island for a few months now, and I'm so happy with the care she's receiving. The staff is very attentive and caring, and they always make sure she's comfortable and happy. The facility is clean and well-maintained, and there are plenty of activities for residents to participate in. I would definitely recommend Glen Island to anyone looking for a skilled nursing facility for their loved ones.

The staff at Glen Island is friendly and helpful, but there have been a few instances where communication could have been better. My grandfather's needs weren't always met promptly. I would recommend checking on your loved one often.
