Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My mother has been a resident at St. Catherine of Siena for the past year, and we are very happy with the care she receives. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they always go the extra mile to make sure she is comfortable and well taken care of. The facility itself is clean and well-maintained, and there are plenty of activities for residents to participate in.

I was impressed with the level of care and compassion shown by the staff at St. Catherine of Siena. My grandmother was a resident for a few months after a hip fracture, and the therapists worked diligently to help her regain her strength and mobility. The food was also surprisingly good, and they even had a few options for residents with dietary restrictions.

The care at St. Catherine of Siena is adequate, but I have noticed some inconsistencies in the level of attention residents receive. There have been times when my aunt's needs were not addressed promptly, which caused some frustration. However, the staff does try their best, and they are always willing to listen to concerns.
