Costs

Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother has been living at Verrazano for a few months now, and we are very happy with the care she is receiving. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, and the facility itself is clean and well-maintained. We appreciate the activities they provide to keep her engaged and social, and we feel confident that she is in good hands.

I was impressed with the level of care and compassion shown by the staff at Verrazano. My father was recovering from a stroke, and they helped him regain his strength and mobility. The therapy services were excellent, and the nurses were always available to answer our questions and address our concerns. I would highly recommend this facility.

Overall, Verrazano is a decent facility, but there have been a few instances where communication could have been better. Sometimes it's difficult to get in touch with staff, and there have been some issues with meal times and menu options. However, the staff are generally kind and caring, and my mother seems comfortable there.
