Costs

Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother has been living at Collar City for the past year, and we've been very happy with the care she's received. The staff is kind and attentive, and the facility is clean and well-maintained. The activities they offer are great for keeping residents engaged, and the food is pretty good, too.

It's a decent facility, but I've noticed some inconsistencies in the level of care. Sometimes the staff is great, and other times they seem overwhelmed. The food could be better, but it's not terrible. Overall, I'd say it's a good option if you're looking for a mid-range facility.
