Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

I was very impressed with the staff at Nyack Ridge. They were all very kind and compassionate. My mother was well cared for and received excellent medical attention. The facility itself is clean and well-maintained. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for quality care for their loved ones.

My grandmother has been living at Nyack Ridge for a few months now and I have mixed feelings about it. While the staff is generally helpful and attentive, there have been some communication issues that I've had to address. The food is decent, but could be better. Overall, I'm hoping to find a better facility for my grandmother in the future.
