Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My mother has been living at Maple Gardens for a few months now, and we're very happy with the care she's receiving. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they always keep us informed about her progress. The facility is clean and well-maintained, and there are plenty of activities for residents to participate in.

Maple Gardens is a decent facility, but I've noticed some inconsistencies in the care provided. Some staff members are more attentive than others, and there have been a few times when my loved one's needs haven't been met promptly. Overall, though, it's a good place for someone who needs skilled nursing care.
