Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

I was very impressed with the level of care my mother received at Northwood. The staff was always kind and attentive, and they went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable and happy. The facility itself was clean and well-maintained, and the food was surprisingly good! I would highly recommend Northwood to anyone looking for a skilled nursing facility.

Overall, my experience at Northwood was okay. The staff was friendly enough, but I felt like there wasn't always enough help available. There were some issues with communication between different departments, and it took a while for things to get resolved. But the facility itself was nice and clean, and I appreciate the efforts they made to keep residents active and engaged.
