Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

The staff at Altercare were incredibly kind and attentive. They always went the extra mile to make sure my grandmother was comfortable and well-cared for. The facility itself was clean and well-maintained, and the atmosphere was positive and uplifting. I would highly recommend Altercare to anyone looking for skilled nursing care.

My experience at Altercare was mixed. The nursing care was good, but I found the communication between staff and family could be better. There were a few instances where information wasn't shared promptly, which caused some frustration. Overall, it was a decent facility, but I'm not sure if I'd recommend it without some improvements in communication.
