Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother was in Forest Grove for a few weeks after her hip surgery. The staff was incredibly caring and attentive, and she made a lot of progress in her recovery. The facilities were clean and comfortable, and she enjoyed the activities and meals.

Forest Grove is a wonderful place for rehabilitation. The therapists are skilled and patient, and they really helped my father regain his strength after his stroke. The staff is friendly and responsive, and they make you feel like family.

The care at Forest Grove was good overall, but I did find the communication between the staff and family members could be improved. Sometimes it was hard to get updates on my mother's progress.
