Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My mother has been a resident at Slate Belt for several months now, and we've been incredibly happy with the care she's received. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they truly care about the residents' well-being. The facility itself is clean and well-maintained. We highly recommend Slate Belt Health & Rehabilitation Center.

I was pleasantly surprised by the level of care and attention my father received at Slate Belt. The physical therapy team was excellent, and they helped him regain his strength and mobility. The food was also surprisingly good, and the staff always went the extra mile to make sure he was comfortable.
