Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother has been living at Buckingham Valley for the past year, and we are incredibly happy with the care she has received. The staff is kind and attentive, and they always go above and beyond to ensure her comfort and well-being. The facility itself is clean and well-maintained, and there are always plenty of activities to keep residents engaged.

While the care at Buckingham Valley is good, I did find that communication could be improved. It wasn't always easy to get in touch with the staff, and sometimes there were delays in receiving updates on my father's progress. However, the staff is friendly and helpful overall.
