Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

The staff at York North are so kind and caring! My grandma was there for a few months after her hip surgery, and they really helped her get back on her feet. The facility itself is clean and well-maintained, and they have a lot of activities to keep residents busy. I would definitely recommend this center to anyone looking for skilled nursing care.

Overall, it's a decent facility. The nurses are good, but sometimes it can be difficult to get a hold of them. The food could be better, but it's not terrible. The biggest downside is the lack of activities for residents who are not in rehab. I wish there was more to do.
