Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

I highly recommend Life Care Center of Ooltewah. My mother was recovering from a stroke, and the care she received was top-notch. The therapists worked diligently with her, and she made significant progress. The staff was always compassionate and supportive, and they made sure my mother was comfortable and well cared for.

I wasn't entirely thrilled with the communication from the staff at Life Care Center of Ooltewah. Sometimes it was hard to get a hold of them, and I felt like I wasn't always kept up-to-date on my father's condition. However, my father did receive good medical care, and the facility itself was nice.
