Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

The staff at Fortress Nursing and Rehabilitation are so kind and caring. They really make you feel like family. The food is good, and the activities are fun. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone looking for post-acute care.

Fortress is a decent facility, but I've had some issues with communication. Sometimes it's hard to get in touch with the staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but the overall atmosphere could use a little improvement.

My mom has been at Fortress for a few months now, and I'm so happy with the care she's receiving. The staff is wonderful, and they really go above and beyond to make sure she's comfortable and well cared for. I highly recommend this facility.
