Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother has been at Great Plains Nursing and Rehabilitation for a few months now, and we're very happy with the care she's received. The staff is kind and attentive, and they always keep us informed about her progress. The facility itself is clean and well-maintained, and it feels like a homey environment.

Great Plains Nursing and Rehabilitation has been a decent place for my father, but there have been some communication issues at times. The staff is generally friendly and helpful, but sometimes it takes a while to get a response to our questions. The food could also be improved, but overall it's a decent facility.
