Costs

Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother has been at Southern Specialty for a few months now and we are so pleased with the care she is receiving. The staff is kind and attentive, and they always go above and beyond to make sure she is comfortable and happy. The facility itself is clean and well-maintained. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone looking for skilled nursing care for their loved ones.

The care at Southern Specialty is decent, but I've had some issues with communication. It's hard to get in touch with the staff sometimes, and I feel like my grandmother's needs aren't always fully met. The facility itself is okay, but it could use some updating. Overall, it's a decent option, but there are better facilities out there.

I was so nervous about placing my mother in a nursing home, but Southern Specialty has been an absolute blessing. The staff is incredible, so kind and compassionate, and they truly care about their residents. The facility is clean and inviting, and my mother has made many friends. I am so grateful for the peace of mind that Southern Specialty provides.
