Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother has been living at Buena Vida for a few months now, and I've been very impressed with the care she has received. The staff is attentive and compassionate, and the facility is clean and well-maintained. My grandmother has enjoyed the social activities and outings, and she seems much happier since moving in.

The staff at Buena Vida is generally good, but there have been some inconsistencies in the level of care. Some of the nurses are fantastic, but others seem to be overworked and stressed. The food is decent, but I wouldn't say it's anything special.

I've been so pleased with the care my father has received at Buena Vida. The physical therapy program has made a huge difference in his recovery, and he's been able to regain his strength and mobility. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and they make my father feel like he's part of a family.
