Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

I was so impressed with the care my grandmother received at Weslaco Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, always going the extra mile to make her feel comfortable and safe. The facility was clean and well-maintained, and the activities program kept her engaged and active. I would highly recommend this center to anyone looking for quality care for a loved one.

My grandfather thrived at Weslaco Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The rehabilitation program helped him regain his mobility and strength, and the therapists were so patient and encouraging. The meals were delicious and nutritious, and the staff made sure he felt like part of a family. I couldn't have asked for a better place for him.

While the staff at Weslaco Nursing and Rehabilitation Center was generally friendly and helpful, there were a few occasions where communication could have been better. Some of the activities seemed a bit repetitive, but overall, it was a decent experience for my mother.
